He's Going To Be Two Tomorrow

On this side of the planet, Nevan is going to turn two tomorrow, the fifth. It has been a crazy ride so far, and my little dude is has taught me so much. I wanted to write down for myself all the little things about my boy that make him who is is today. I don't want to forget.

Some of his antics:
- play on tree roots!
- count "1,2,5,6,9!" with the most satisfied look on his sweet face
- rock out with a serious look and head banging anytime he hears music
- everytime he wakes up from bed or a nap he will exclaim a variety of dvds he wants to watch: "NEMO! CARS! CARS! CARS! MONSTERS!"
- has memorized his entire inventory of DVDs
- his favorite train from Thomas is Percy. Thomas has been bumped to number two!
- loves cars, trains, planes, and more recently his Woody doll (from Toy Story)
- he opens and closes his hands facing himself and exclaims "Boo's Coos!" (Blues Clues)
- the huge smile he gives us when he wakes up and says very seriously "hi."
- he runs around corners, calls us, waits for us to come then says "BOO!"
- he always forgets that cars say beep beep and says choo choo instead, then corrects himself
- he already uses "please," "sorry," and "thank you" all by himself with little reminding
- he loves to run up, hug us hard around the legs, burying his face in our butts (or worse)
- he has to have a car in the bath. No negotiations.
- he is still in diapers (almost ready for training). Even after two years of diapers he still screams 3/4 of the time. He hates having to stop what he's doing to get a change. Can't wait for the training!!!
- walk on tip toe
- anytime he accidently hurts us, he says "Are you okay?" then pets our arm or face and says "sorry!". This is usually followed up by a kiss where we got a boo boo :D
- he tries to kiss or hug other kids at the playground, and will attempt to take them down (playfully) if they deny him. "I WILL give you this kiss, whether you like it or NOT!"
- push buttons
- says "fix! fix! please?!" whenever he wants us to put his train tracks together, or something is broken
- says "hel! heeellll!" (help) or "stuck!" whenever he is annoyed with a toy

Some of his favorite foodies:
broccoli (oh yes!), peas, grapes (he can eat a whole bag in one day), my salt-pepper-herb chicken, meatballs, anything with peanut butter on it, anything with cheese on it, raw cheese, eggs, naan, cucumber rolls, chocolate, crackers, cucumbers, Pocky sticks, Milo (like Ovaltine), cloudy apple juice

His no-no food list:
cookies (explain that to me), anything with tomato sauce on it, most any pasta/ ravioli/ tortellini unless it just has a little butter on it, oranges (but not orange juice), anything remotely warm (he's getting better)
