Just a quick update: we received our resident/work visas for Japan yesterday, as well as the importation permits for the cats. We're in the clear and the light is green! We haven't booked our flights yet but we're getting closer.
Also, my dad is coming out to chill out with us next week! It was sort of last minute but a very nice surprise. I'm going to gain like 20 lbs in the week he'll be here from his awesome cooking. *waving fist* damn him!
