My mom wasn't ever very helpful in the way of doling out sage words. I have her to thank for my sense of humor though. Here is why - this is something she used to, and still does, say to me all the time:
"Makan jadi taik"
That's a Malay expression that literally means "You eat and it turns straight to shit" - as in the nutrients don't go to your brain - as in you're hella stupid!
Gee thanks mom! I love you too :P
